The ARM-SE wireless data modem, wireless data transmission is compatible with the ARM (Advanced Radio Modem) product range and can communicate from a serial port or from an Ethernet network with others distant radio modules (I/O modules, serial ports, Wireless LAN). It is possible to use it as a radio bridge between 2 or more Ethernet equipments (for example PLC). Its advantage is the distance it can cover with small antennas (more than 5kms Line-of-sight) and its excellent sensitivity allowing it to reach very obstructed and perturbed areas such as industrial halls, mobile machines, etc...
The ARM-SE offers an alternative to the WiFi for industrial applications which have no need for a high datarate but more for a guarantee of operation in the worst situations.
